sew and quilt

I haven't quilted yet, so I guess it's still sewing. 

I had two (or three) weekends of sewing and now I have lots of pictures to post.    I am making a king-sized quilt.  I hope to quilt it on the Flynn Multiframe System I got for Christmas (last year). 

I laid out the layer cake (10 inch squares) of "Gobble Gobble", cut the strips and cross section pieces for the design.  I found the design on the Piece N Quilt blog.

Then, I started sewing the pieces together with the sashing in the off white and the cross sections in a wheat that perfectly matches one of the pieces of the layer cake.

Now the pieces are sewn together. 

I played with my camera this morning to show some detail. 

It is still a WIP (work in progress).
