to blog or not to blog

I'm just no sure this is the way to continue.

As many do, I found instagram.  You see it instantly.

I have had trouble with this blog.  When I view it I see empty picture boxes.  When I create the post I can see the pictures, but when I come back I  don't see the pictures.  I don't know what to update, what to download.  I can view it with my cell phone.  It is very frustrating.  This is not fun anymore.  I expect it to work properly.  UGH!!

But I will try again.

June 20 was the last post.

So July, August, and September will be the activities and pictures for this post.

July - a trip to Seattle.

Hoover Houdini, the best black lab.  We had to say goodbye.  It was a hard decision, but the best for him.  December 1, 2003 - June 24, 2016.

My flowers in the back yard. I'm surprised they came back this year.

Another trip to Livingston, Montana, for the Paradise Valley Fly In.

Homecoming 2016.  What a beautiful girl?

I've been trying my hand at painting.  Above is a barn quilt painting.  Below is an aspen tree (a work in progress).

More volleyball games - the GOLD team.  I love to watch her play.  She smiles a lot.

Girls' night out and more painting.

A fabric collage class.  It was fun to see the outcome.

Mufasa can sew, or at least hide behind the machine.

March and April 2016

I missed the end of March post as I was out of the country, another Spring Break in Mexico.

We had lunch with this gentleman one day - the Ibis.  We sat under cabanas and enjoyed the view and the sun.

This was our maitre d' for dinner at Dos Lunas.

As usual, the food was delicias.

The outdoor restaurant is surrounded by flowers.

We returned the favor by feeding the other peacocks.

This man serenaded me on my birthday on the bus in Cancun, Mexico.

We snorkeled in Cancun, saw the underwater statutes, and unfortunately our underwater camera did not cooperate.

Last but not least - the dessert bar.

Back to Wyoming.

We have been busy with soccer.  This are the faces of happy soccer players, #29 and her best friend #3.  Number 29 scored a goal her second game on April 8.

I finished this piece today.  I see photos on other blogs that are outstanding.  My pictures are blah.  I must practice.

Leap year post

This is par for the course.

Almost as often as I post, once every four years.

But it is the last day of the month.

I have a few pictures from February 2016.

T and I attended a Valentine art and dessert tasting "date".

I received a beautiful rose for Valentine's Day from my beautiful daughter.

I worked on a block for the National Quilting Day event planned for March.

The January value quilt is almost finished.

October to January

What's happened since October - Yes another catch up post.

If you keep up with this blog, its the same thing each year.

Halloween in October.

A's birthday in November.  She had a shopping spree in Denver.

Christmas in December.

An awesome ski trip for the New Year, Big Sky, Montana.

In January, I participated in the UCross Quilt Retreat.  Pictures of a few of the show-and-share quilts and a beautiful place to sew, visit with friends, and learn new things.

Another resolution in January.  My resolution for this year - to complete some UFOs - unfinished projects.

A few pictures of the paper-piecing Cinco de Mayo pattern I worked on in October and November.

I know I purchased a few charm packs back in 2012 for a color value quilt.  I sewed, cut, and ironed the half square triangles while I was at UCross.  I laid out the design on the floor January 31 and started sewing the rows together.

Another resolution for this year is to write a post each month.  I know I am one day behind on January, I guess I will have two posts for February 2016.

Happy New Year!!
