In December, I made my sister a purse for Christmas.
In January there was skiing at Meadowlark Lodge.
In March, we had a ski day with family and friends.
In February, I helped host the Ucross Sewing Retreat, in Ucross, WY.
In March I attended the National Quilt Day in Sheridan, WY. Our project was kite blocks - paper pieced.
I made this one.
Track filled up a lot of our time this Spring. Thank goodness the first meet was inside.
Even in April it was very cold. She did an awesome job her first year of track - hurdles, 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, 400 meter relay, she even tried shot put a few times.
I worked on this quilt in March. It is a baby blanket for Landon. I do not have a finished picture. (The pieces are left over from a project you will see later.)
I worked on this quilt in May. It is a baby blanket for Drew. I do not have a finished picture. Landon and Drew are cousins and their parents are friends of our family.
In June the family went on a vacation to Las Vegas and California.
I worked on this project from way-back-when to completion in August. It is the blue wave quilt, mermaid quilt, the fishroom quilt - It's been called a lot of things. It went to the Johnson County Fair and has a blue ribbon. I will post a completed picture of it soon.
Whew. That's it in a nutshell - the past several months. It's August and we can now say the word "school" in our house. I can't believe this summer (this year) has flown by and school starts in just a few weeks. We still have more planned for the end of summer. A trip to Denver is coming up. Pictures of that to follow soon.
I hope to make an appearance here more often in the future.
