I have been absent from this blog for three months. Time was spent quilting, building my stash, rearranging my stash and realizing that I have too much stash. (Okay, I said it.) While in the bedroom floor pulling out boxes from under the bed and perusing the fabric cabinet, I saw projects that were purchased with good intentions and creative ideas. As I was looking and touching the soft cotton goodness, I said maybe I should finish the projects, make the quilts and not buy any more fabric next year. AND I spoke those words out loud in the PRESENCE OF MY HUSBAND.
I have two retreats to attend in the next two months, one at the end of this week, January 4, 5 and 6 and one that I am co-hosting with a friend in mid-February. I need to decide what project(s) I should take to work on. That was a hard one.
While in the bedroom floor, I made a list (you know those end-of-the-year inventory kind of lists). The list includes approximately 15 projects, five or so of which are UFOs (unfinished objects): Quilts, baby blankets, table cloths, scarves, etc. I know that I will not be able to finish the entire list this year, but I need to put a dent in the stash under the bed and in the fabric cabinet.
Also I want to document those projects on this blog. So to catch up on the past few months I will post a few pictures of the happenings.
I finished Mc's, nephew number 3, table topper in red.
We celebrated A's 12th birthday
and, of course, we had Christmas.
So this brings to an end the posts of 2012. I hope to finish a few projects in the coming year. We will see if I can hold true to my resolution.
Happy New Year!
